Your First Steps

Many people who attend church want to connect with others in the church, but really don’t know how.  We are doing our best to make getting connected at CWC easier for you to look into.  Here are the steps you need to take to make the most of your experience at the Celebration:

Explore – Learn of the many ways you can connect in fellowship and grow with as at CWC.

Choose – Search through the many ways we have to connect and choose a group to visit.

Visit – Find out when that group meets then visit the group to see if it fits your needs and desires.

Connect – Stay faithful to that group.  Meet new people while having fun learning with others.

Grow – Commit to growing spiritually during every session.  Apply what you’ve learned immediately.

Lead  - Explore whether leading is right for you.  Learn what it takes to lead a life changing group.

Ministries

Many of the ministries below meet throughout the year for retreats, conferences, and other fellowships.  This is a great way to connect to strong, loving, and influential people who help and support one another through life challenges.

Community Relations

If you enjoy meeting new people, using your natural and spiritual gifts to serve others, and helping make people’s lives better, than join our Community Relations T.E.A.M.  Twice a month our Blaze Abroad T.E.A.M. goes into the community to invite people to Christ and to our church.  We also often host community wide events.  Call us and find out the outreach schedule.  Come check us out and see it we’re a good fit for you.

Worship

Worship

Worship is a very important part of our church makeup.  There are many styles and genres of music that make us feel good, but no other style touches our very inner being like music sang to our God.  If you can hold a note/sing on key then consider joining our Celebration Choir.  If you feel you’re more advanced (maybe you think you’re the next American Idol!), and you feel a call to lead worship as a singer or musician, you can audition for the Celebration Worship T.E.A.M and/or musicians who lead us into worship during our services.  You can visit and sit in a rehearsal anytime.

R.E.A.L. Life Groups
(Relational, Encouraging, Applicable, Life Changing)

Group of People

R.E.A.L. Life Groups, or RLG’s, are extensions of our ministries.  These groups offer members and attendees an opportunity to connect in small groups of 4-12 people on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.  RLG’s meet for Bible Study and prayer, common interests (sports, reading, etc.), tasks and service (church clean up, event planning, etc.), and support (divorce care, grief/bereavement, etc.).  For a list of RLG’s coming Summer quarter, click here.

First Serve

One of the best ways to grow as a Christian is to serve God and His people.  Commit to serving four weeks in one of our ministries and discover how you can impact the vision of this church.  This will give you an opportunity to see what serving in ministry is all about.  After your First Serve contact a Get Connected Partner to see where you can begin serving.  View our ministries and service opportunities for more information.

Lead

We do our best to employ and train committed and mature Christian members to lead our ministries and R.E.A.L. Life Groups.  Because God sends us people from all different backgrounds, religions, races, and cultures, every leader must be able to show the love of Christ without prejudice and contempt.  Our goal for our members is, “every member a minister.”  Leading a RLG is an entry-level leadership opportunity with above level blessings.  If you wish to lead or start and lead a RLG please contact us today to set an appointment with a Get Connected Partner.
